Three Artists, all working from studios on the Sussex coast, join forces for a two-week show in the John Rank gallery:
‘Collaborating in Colour’
Bringing together the work of Alix Beale, Linda Foskett and Nadia Day, this exhibition celebrates three distinctive approaches to landscape, nature and the places that inspire us.
Working across sculpture, painting and printmaking, each artist brings a unique perspective to the natural world. Alix Beale combines figurative sculpture and painting, creating elegant, expressive forms inspired by the energy and vitality of life. Linda Foskett, drawing on her background in cartography, explores the Sussex landscape through oil painting and printmaking, moving between recognisable landscapes and more abstract interpretations. Nadia Day creates bold, textured landscapes and seascapes using expressive brushwork and palette knives, with a particular love of Richmond Hill and the West Wittering coastline.
All three artists share a strong connection to the landscapes around them, but each transforms those familiar places through their own medium, technique and imagination. From sculptural form to painterly expression and experimental printmaking, their work offers three very different—and complementary—ways of experiencing the landscape.
