Margaret Jones and Jane Brunning are West Sussex-based tapestry weavers whose work explores the landscape through the distinctive language of woven textiles. Both trained in tapestry weaving at West Dean College and worked in its professional tapestry studio before establishing their own practices.

Although they share the same traditional weaving process, their artistic styles are markedly different. Margaret's award-winning work is known for its painterly blending of coloured yarns, while Jane's tapestries use richly textured fibres to create tactile surfaces. Together, their work moves beyond conventional landscape, revealing the emotion, history and hidden structures of the Sussex countryside, inviting viewers to experience familiar places in new and unexpected ways.

They will be exhibiting Landschap, a two-week exhibition in the Wilson Gallery at Oxmarket, showcasing new tapestry works inspired by the landscapes of Sussex and the stories woven into them.
