As part of Chichester District Council’s project Cultrue Spark which brings a rich and diverse range of culture to the comunity we are looking forward to welcoming soprano Jennifer Witton to our gallery on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th November from 4-6pm. Jennifer’s credits include the RSC, Glyndebourne and the Royal Opera House, for Opera, Song and Story, we will enjoy a short programme of familiar classical favourites and lesser-known gems. From the simple message of Home! Sweet Home! to Brahms' gentle Lullaby, perhaps the first melody you heard from a music box, and famous operatic arias including Puccini's O mio babbino caro and Dvořák's Song to the Moon, the music explores the different facets of home: family, childhood and the longing to belong. Whether you're a lifelong classical music fan or simply curious to try something new, there's something here for everyone to enjoy.
