The Artisan Gallery Collective brings together twenty talented artists and makers from Chichester and the surrounding area, united by a shared passion for creativity and craftsmanship. Oxmarket are delighted to welcome the group back to both our gallery spaces for a 2 week exhibition.
Working across painting, glass, ceramics, textiles, sculpture and jewellery, the Collective offers a wonderfully diverse range of original artwork and handmade pieces. Inspired by the natural world, local landscapes and wildlife, members work with materials ranging from porcelain, clay and metal to precious stones and reclaimed fabrics.
For this exhibition, ‘Where the Sky Meets Earth’, each artist brings their own unique interpretation, techniques and materials to the theme. Sustainability is an important part of the Collective’s ethos, with many artists incorporating recycled, reclaimed and repurposed materials and sourcing locally wherever possible.
Above all, the Collective believes that art and handmade objects are for everyone, offering an inspiring alternative to mass-produced goods while supporting independent local artists and makers.
