On Tuesday 2 August during the opening private view the winners of each category were announced. Each winner will receive a two week exhibition at Oxmarket Contemporary in 2023

Oxmarket Contemporary is proud to launch its first Open exhibition under its own name. Unique in offering a five categories of submission including the applied arts (craft), drawing & illustration, painting, print & photography and sculpture it is supported by prestigious prize judges from the relevant fields.

Categories & Prize Judges

Applied Arts/Craft - Adam Aaronson (glassblower and member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen)

Drawing & Illustration - Ian Beck (celebrated illustrator)

Painting - Matthew Burrows MBE (artist and founder of Artist Support Pledge)

Sculpture - Laura Ford (Internationally exhibiting sculptor and President of the Royal Society of Sculptors)

Print & Photography - Julian Page (dealer in Modern & Contemporary prints)

The works chosen for the exhibition will be selected by the Oxmarket Contemporary team of Andrew Churchill, Gallery Director and Holly Fox-Lee, Gallery Administrator.

Prizes & exhibition

The first-prize winners in each category will be offered a fully-funded exhibition at Oxmarket Contemporary in 2023.

All selected works will be exhibited, for sale, as part of the OXMARKET OPEN 2022 exhibition.

Collecting Artwork

All unsold works at the conclusion of the exhibition must be collected between 1st and 4th September (between 10am-4.30pm).

Unfortunately, we are unable to ship work on behalf of artists.
